FIVDB is implementing the Developing Midwives Project alongside BRAC University with funding from DFID in Sylhet, Bangladesh. The project, featuring seven academic sites across Bangladesh, trains bright young students as midwives to provide high-quality, community-based healthcare. Graduates of the program work in hospitals, government health centers and organizations across the country. Students complete intensive internships and have the opportunity to sit for the midwifery licensing exam at the end of their three-year program. Read more about the program here.
